Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev took part on June 13 in the awarding ceremony held for the winners of a karate event in the weight category of up to 60 kg as part of the Baku 2015 European Games.
The gold medal in this weight category was won by the Azerbaijani athlete Firdovsi Farzaliyev.
In the finals, he defeated the Italian athlete, Luca Maresca.
