The first stage of men's all-around competitions in artistic gymnastics has finished.

According to the preliminary results, Russian gymnasts are in the lead in men's team event (score: 88.199), followed by UK gymnasts (85.231) and Spanish team (84.832).

Brinn Bevan from the UK is in the lead in men's individual event (42.765).

This is while Russian gymnasts continue leading in women's team event, (60.165).

Aliya Mustafina from Russia is the first in women's individual event (30.333), according to the preliminary results.

Azerbaijan's women's team ranked fifth (43.254), according to the preliminary results.

Artistic gymnastics events as part of the First European Games continue in Baku.

The gymnasts are performing both in individual and team events. In the qualifications, women and men are competing in eight and five subdivisions, respectively.

In women's events, Azerbaijani representatives perform in the third subdivision. Azerbaijan's gymnasts Yulia Inshina, Marina Nekrasova and Kristina Pravdina are competing in the individual events.

In men's events, Azerbaijan's representatives are competing in the third subdivision. The country is represented by Oleg Stepko, Eldar Safarov and Petro Pakhnyuk.

The European Games that kicked off in Baku June 12, will last till June 28. There is a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports. More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe will be representing their nations over 17 days of competition. Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
