ADEX-2014 in Baku is proof of growing authority of Azerbaijan

Baku, Azerbaijan, Sept.10

By Ilkin Izzet - Trend:

Authority of Azerbaijan is increasing worldwide, and holding of ADEX-2014 exhibition in Baku is a clear proof of this, the Deputy Minister of Defense Industry of Azerbaijan Yahya Musayev said at a press conference on the Defense Industry (ADEX-2014) international exhibition, which will be first held in the region and Baku on September 11-13.

The preparation for the exhibition was very efficient and ADEX-2014 will bring together 200 companies and 20 official representatives of 34 countries.

"Defense Industry exhibitions are held only in developed countries. Such exhibitions in post-Soviet countries were held in Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan before Azerbaijan. But an exhibition in Azerbaijan, unlike others, will involve more companies," he said.

Deputy Minister said that the Ministry of Defense Industry of Azerbaijan took part in more than 15 exhibitions.

"If the first exhibition demonstrated 27 kinds of products manufactured by the defense industry of Azerbaijan, ADEX-2014 will feature 168 different products of the country," Musayev said.

He added that the exhibition will be attended by the government ministers of Turkey and Israel, Deputy Ministers of the governments of Belarus, South Korea, Qatar and Malaysia. Chiefs of the General Staff of the Ministry of Defense will represent Iran and several other countries at the ADEX-2014.

The Deputy Minister said that the ADEX-2014 will be attended by companies from France, USA, Croatia, Spain and many other leading countries of the world.

Expositions of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia, Belarus, the Republic of Korea, Poland, Israel, Ukraine will be introduced at the exhibition, Musayev said.

During the exhibition, the latest achievements of the defense industry will be presented in six areas, such as equipment and armament of the land forces and air forces, military aircraft armament systems and air defense systems, property and means of special purpose, information technologies, communications systems, space technologies, administrative and technical support for the army.

Director of Caspian Event Organizers, Edward Strings noted the great interest shown in the ADEX-2014.

"This is directly related to the dynamic development of Azerbaijan and the support provided by the government for the organization of the exhibition," he said.

The first international exhibition The Defense Industry (ADEX-2014) in Azerbaijan and the region will open September 11 in Baku Expo Center.

İteca Caspian and Caspian Event Organizers are organizational partners of the exhibition.
