Azerbaijan’s trade turnover with five main trade partners reached 821.97 million manats in January 2018, which accounts for 47.6 percent of all volume of the country’s trade turnover, said a report of Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee Feb. 19.
In January 2018, Italy ranked first in the list of Azerbaijan’s foreign trading partners with a trade turnover of $297.82 million and a specific weight of 17.24 percent. Italy is followed by Russia - $163.98 million (9.49 percent), Israel – $138.82 million (8.04 percent), Turkey – $124.37 million (7.2 percent) and Germany – $96.98 million (5.61 percent).

Italy remains leader for consumption of Azerbaijani goods in January 2018. The country accounted for $280.23 million (26.98 percent) of Azerbaijan’s total export volume.
Italy is followed by Israel - $136.42 million (13.13 percent), Austria - $83.43 million (8.03 percent), Czech Republic - $81.95 million (7.89 percent) and the US - $69.94 million (6.73 percent). The share of these countries in total export volume of Azerbaijan is 62.76 percent.
In January 2018, Azerbaijan imported goods worth $125.86 million (18.28 percent) from Russia. Russia ranked first for this indicator and was followed by Turkey - $89.07 million (12.93 percent), China - $65.27 million (9.48 percent), Belarus - $55.87 million (8.11 percent) and Germany- $50.37 million (7.31 percent). The share of these countries in total import volume of Azerbaijan is 56.11 percent.
In January 2018, Azerbaijan exported goods worth $1.04 billion, which is 29.1 percent more than in the same period last year. In January 2018, imports amounted to $688.63 million, which is 53 percent more than in January 2017. The surplus in January 2018 amounted to $350.08 million, which is 1.3 percent less than in January 2017.
