BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 2. The value of gross agricultural production in actual prices in Azerbaijan amounted to 11.57 billion manat ($6.8 billion) from January through November 2023, Trend reports via the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.
Livestock production accounted for 5.7 billion manat ($3.3 billion), and crop production - 5.8 billion manat ($3.4 billion) out of this indicator.
The committee's data showed that during the mentioned period, the country’s agricultural production rose by 3.1 percent including livestock products - by 3.3 percent, and crop products - by 2.8 percent.
Meanwhile, the country produced 538,200 tons of live-weight meat, including poultry, 2.6 million tons of milk, over two million eggs, 15,100 tons of wool, and 357 tons of silkworm cocoons.
Meat production increased year-on-year by 3.1 percent, milk - by 1.3 percent, eggs – by 9.9 percent, silkworm cocoons - by 4.6 percent, and wool production decreased by three percent.
In 2022, Azerbaijan produced 628,000 tons of live-weight meat, up by three percent compared to 2021.
