BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 15. Products produced in Balakhani Industrial Park using waste as raw material are exported to several countries, Acting Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, President of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), Mukhtar Babayev said during the forum Tax System in the New Development Period: Strategic Goals for Sustainable Economy held in Baku, Trend reports.

"The concept of recycling occupies an important place in the modern economy. We must achieve conservation and sustainable use of natural resources by strengthening recycling practices through resource efficiency and closed-loop economy policies. Those who want to establish a recycling business and engage in environmentally friendly production by applying innovative technologies are provided with favorable conditions at Balakhani Industrial Park. Currently, 25 residents are registered in the industrial park, and the products produced here using waste as raw materials are exported to several countries," he added.

Meanwhile, the Balakhani Industrial Park was established by a decree of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev dated December 28, 2011. The managing company of the industrial park is Tamiz Shahar OJSC (Clean City).

To note, new challenges in the field of tax administration were discussed at the forum "Tax System in the New Development Period: Strategic Goals for Sustainable Economy" in Baku. Within the framework of the forum, opinions were exchanged on the increasing role of tax authorities in economic regulation, priorities of business environment development, active participation of entrepreneurs in the formation of budget revenues, and building transparent relations with businesses.
