As many as 55.7 percent of voters, or 2,897,188 people, have cast their ballots during the Nov. 1 parliamentary election in Azerbaijan, according to tentative data, said Rufat Gulmammadov, head of the 'Elections' Information Center at Azerbaijan's Central Election Commission.
The highest voter turnout was recorded at the constituency #14 of the Khazar District of Baku (81.2 percent), and the lowest turnout was at the 30th Surakhani First Electoral Constituency (36.1 percent), said Gulmammadov.
The parliamentary election in Azerbaijan was observed by 503 international observers from 40 organizations and over 66,000 local observers.
Some 767 candidates are running for 125 seats in the country's parliament.
