About 2,450,481 square meters of Azerbaijani territory was cleared from mines and unexploded ammunition last month, the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) told Trend.
As a result of operations about 1,990 unexploded ammunition and 10 antitank mines were found and neutralized.
About 425 experts participated and 115 assistants, as well as the six mechanical demining machines and 30 mine-detection dogs participated in the operations.
So far the agency cleared 146,350,726 square meters of land, found and neutralized 629,397 mines and unexploded ammunition.
ANAMA operates in Agdam, Agstafa, Gadabay, Gey-Gel, Tartar, Fuzuli and Karadag regions of Baku.
ANAMA's rapid response group conducted mine cleaning operations in 15 houses of Evoglu village in Agdam region.
One mine exploded in October.
