OIC to take several measures to keep Armenians from destroying flora in occupied territories of Azerbaijan

The 33rd session of the Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) is of great importance because the organization, for the first time in the history, holds its session in Baku, and it is an invaluable contribution to the recognition of Azerbaijan in Islamic world, Ekmaladdin Ihsanoglu, secretary general of IOC, made such a statement on June 21 in Baku, Trend reports.

Ihsanoglu stressed the importance of tee document announced by the Azeri foreign minister Elmar Mammadyarov during the session. It is a cosmic electronic filming of forests fired by Armenians in occupied territories of Azerbaijan, as well as in Nagorno-Karabakh, told Ihsanoglu. It is a very deplorable photo. All participants of the OIC session expressed solidarity with Azerbaijan in inadmissibility of destroy of flora and fauna of occupied territories of Azerbaijan, told secretary general of OIC, noting

that OIC will take several measures in this direction.

Besides, Ihsanoglu noted that the importance of OIC increases, and it is recognized by not only separate states, but also international organizations such as OSCE and the Council of Europe. Within the session, significant decisions were made on Palestine, Iran and Iraq, as well as discussions were held on Cyprian thematic, told Ihsanoglu, noting the importance of official position of OIC.

The issues of reformation of OIC received a new support due to Turkey of which representatives, in December, 2005 in Mecca, presented the 10-year action plan of the organization to the agenda. This plan has already found solidarity in many of Islamic countries, stressed Ihsanoglu.
