Fire in forests of Ismayilli region was extinguished, deputy head of Ismayilli region executive power, committee chairman for emergencies Rafael Akhmadov told Trend.
The flame covered an area of 4-5 hectares of forest in Shahdag National Park, he said.
"There is no danger. The fire was extinguished", chairman of the commission said.
He added that about 200 firemen of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and helicopters were involved to extinguish the fire. About 300 local residents also extinguished the fire.
Location of the forest in the mountainous area made it difficult to use technology while extinguishing the fire, Akhmadov said.
