Georgian Foreign Minister Receives Azerbaijani Defence Minister
Georgian Foreign Minster, Gela Bezhuashvili, received Azerbaijani Defence Minister, Safar Abiyev. According to Georgian Foreign Ministry, the meeting was held beyond closed doors.
The parties discussed military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia, as well as regional security, according to Caucasus-Press. The Foreign Ministry did not report on the details of the meeting.
Abiyev is expected to meet behind closed doors with the Georgian President on 18 September.
The Azerbaijani Defence Minister will leave for Senaki ( West Georgia) on the morning of 19 September to visit a recently-constructed military base which corresponds with NATO standards.
