Knowledge Level of Candidates to State Service Low – Commission Chairman

Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr K. Zarbaliyeva / The people who applied for state service have low knowledge level, the Chairman of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration's Commission on State Service, Bahram Khalilov, said to journalists.

Therefore, a plenty of positions remain vacant, he said. According to Khalilov, the state service requires people with high knowledge level. The cases when candidates were admitted to the state service out of competition were revealed and preventive measures are taken, he said.

Khalilov did not reveal the number of the cases and the state bodies where they were revealed. According to him, state employees in Azerbaijan make up 2,500.

In order to achieve transparency in the 2nd round of the competition (interview) media and NGOs will be involved.

"There are various gossips in this connection. Therefore we decided to make the competition open. In case a candidate agrees, interview will be attended by media and NGOs," he said.
