Azerbaijan, Baku, 5 March / Trend / Ilham Aliyev, the President of Azerbaijan, received at the Presidential Palace the deputy prime minister and Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and his delegation.
"The President of Turkmenistan highly values relationships established between the two leaders and regards them as a good basis to enhance the cooperation between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan in the various fields," Rashid Meredov said. He pointed out that the Presidents' meeting in St. Petersburg gave a powerful impetus to further development of relations between the two countries.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed his satisfaction with the relations developing with Turkmenistan. He stressed that various level meetings between the two countries` representatives, as well as the activities of Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Economic Cooperation Commission, contribute toward the further development of bilateral relations between the two countries.
