"There is no-one in the Ana Vatan party who is able to take on the responsibilities and lead the party ahead,' Fazail Agamali, the Chairman of Ana Vatan party, stated to Trend .
The issue of the election of new chairman was not included in the agenda of the meeting scheduled for June.
Agamali said that he would retire from the chairmanship position only when he was certain there was someone to replace him. Presently, there are vacancies for the chairman position in the party and the new chairmen are expected to be elected after the meeting.
Ana Vatan party was founded by Agamali.
Abutalib Samadov, chairman of the Party of Alliance for the Sake of Azerbaijan [PASA], stated to Trend that he does not see any reason to retire from his position.
PASA was founded by Samadov in early 1990s. Samadov was appointed as the head of State Agency on author rights by the President's order in 2006.
