Azerbaijan Opposition to Begin Discussions on Joint Demonstrations
Azerbaijan, Baku, 12 May /corr. Trend E.Babayev / The opposition of Azerbaijan will begin discussions to hold joint demonstrations.
"Joint discussions will be held with the political parties and as a result, demonstrations may begin against changes to the Electoral Code," the Head of the Central Executive Apparat of Musavat, Arif Hajikli, reported to Trend on 12 May.
The project being signed by the President and presented to the Parliament reflects increase in the Electoral Fund for Candidates, simplified voting procedures, ban on the election campaign in State televisions and official newspapers.
In addition, Azerbaijan Parliament's Standing Commission for Legal Policy and State Establishment devised a project envisaging making changes to the article 11.
