Azerbaijani Speaker to Meet with Greek President

Azerbaijan, Baku, 7 June / Trend corr I. Alizade/ Speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament Ogtay Asadov will meet with Greek President Karolos Papulias. "The meeting will discuss enhancement of political and economic relations between Azerbaijan and Greece," Spokesperson for Azerbaijani Parliament Akif Nasirov said to Trend on 6 June.

According to Nasirov, Asadov will also meet with the Speaker of Greek Parliament Dimitrios Sioufas.

Nasirov said that on 10 June Greek capital city Athens will hold a summit of the Speakers of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) countries and the 31st session of the BSEC General Assembly. Ogtay Asadov will participate in the summit and session.

"The summit and the session will discuss maintenance of political stability in the Black Sea countries, role of parliaments in struggle against terrorism, role of investments in development of the Black Sea region, etc," Nasirov said.

In Athens, Ogtay Asadov will meet with his Ukrainian and Moldovan counterparts - Arseniy Yatsenuk and Marian Lupu.

The delegation headed by Asadov includes MPs Asaf Hajiyev, Musa Guliyev, Vidadi Mammadov, Zhala Aliyeva, Mubariz Gurbanli and the head of the Parliamentary Administration Safa Mirzayev.
