The earthquake frightened residents of Tashkent and no injured reported, the Embassy of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan said.
Earthquake 6 to 7 Richter scale took place on 22 August in the capital city of Uzbekistan at 01:27p.m. local time.
"We have not experienced strong earthquake since 1979 or 1980. There was two momentary tremors", said one of the witnesses. "The dishes, cupboards and entire panel four-storied building creaked and shook and ferro-concrete overlapping cracked. My hands are trembling, the building shook very strongly. One -storied buildings have probably suffered cracks and collapses," Ferqana.ru new agency reported.
