Larger organization to be set up on basis of shut down youth movement: co-founder of Ireli movement
Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 11 / Trend corr J. Babayeva/ A larger organization will be set up soon on the basis of shut down Ireli All Republic Youth Movement.
"A new organization will be set up on the basis of Ireli movement with 6,000 members. Additional resources will also be used. A very large organization that Azerbaijan has never witnessed will be set up soon," Jeyhun Osmnali, co-founder of the movement, said to Trend .
All Republic Ireli Youth Movement, which had been functioning for more than three years, had over 5,000 members. The Movement has worked out over 50 projects since its inception. As many as 28 clubs and departments under the Movement covered various spheres of activity of Azerbaijani youth.
The co-founders of the movement decided to close down the organization on Dec. 9. They attributed it to the fact that the organization has reached its goals.
Osmanli said there is a great need in society for the expansion of Ireli movement. "New larger organization will be surprise for everyone. The organization will include both youth and people of different ages and it will be 20-30 times larger than Ireli," he said.
Osmanli said rumors about new organization's being set up for parliamentary election are false.
"When Ireli was set up three years ago, its creation was attributed to election. It is not true at all. Ireli aimed at strengthening human capital and achieving development of the country by developing youth first of all. Our next focus is development of people, youth and we are determined to make efforts to enable them both abroad and within the country to develop," Osmanli said.
Chief of Dalga youth movement Vafa Jafarova said to Trend that she is skeptical about establishment of a larger organization on the basis of Ireli. "Ireli's seeking to turn into a larger organization sound strange. The movement was not an organization with good structure and it did not reach its goals. They can say that organization larger than Ireli will be set up, but I am doubtful about the success of this organization," Jafarova said.
Dalga youth movement has been founded in 2005. The organization has 250 young members.
