Iran, Teheran, Dec. 25 / Trend , A. Namdari / Afghan citizens are prohibited to enter, exit or settle in Iranian provinces of Kohkilouyeh and Boyerahmad, said Nader Montazerian, deputy governor general of Kohkilouyeh-Boyerahmad for political and security affairs. Afghans settled in these provinces illegally.

"Afghans are given one year-term to remain in these provinces after which they will be resettled in refugee camps at Iran-Afghanistan border, in the city of Isfahan or Shiraz," Montazerian said at a news conference on Dec. 25.

During wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Iran accepted the Muslim refugees of these countries as guests. The situation in Afghanistan has been improved and, therefore, Afghans settled in these provinces should return to their homes.

Illegally settled Afghans should apply to the official bodies of the provinces. Otherwise, they will be arrested or deported, Montazerian said.
