The Georgian President and Prime Minister should resign instead of ministers, the Chairman of the Republican Party, David Usupashvili told Trend correspondent, commenting on the dismissal of the Minister of Economy, Lasha Zhvania.

Usupashvili said that a consistent policy of reforms is not being conducted either in the economy or health sector. Therefore, he is not surprised by the problems in these spheres.

"The authorities are carrying out bad policy. Therefore, they are trying to focus attention on the resignation of ministers and not the real problems. But off the point, it does require a huge amount of guts to discharge a minister," the leader of the Republicans said.

Prime-Minister Nika Gilauri has dismissed the Minister of Economy, Lasha Zhvania, as well as expressed discontent with work from the Ministry of Heatlh, giving a final warning to the Minister of Health, Alexander Kvitashvili, on August 21.
