Iran Air Force commander says a new model of radar-evading drone will be manufactured and tested before the end of September, Press TV reported.
On Sunday, Air Force commander Brigadier General Hassan Shah-Safi told reporters that the new version of the military drone, which is seven times smaller than the previous version, would be made before the Sacred Defense Week (21-28 September).
Shah-Safi added that the radar-evading drone has been tested successfully in Tehran in the past few weeks and has been used for surveillance purposes ever since, ISNA reported.
The Air Force Commander noted that the drone is capable of hitting targets without being detected by hostile radar systems.
In late June, Iran successfully tested 'Qased' (Messenger) smart bombs and radar-evading aircraft in the Milad-Noor-Velayat aerial maneuver, which was branded as strictly a "defensive exercise".
