On September 15 in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan and Ukraine signed a package of inter-governmental agreements on cooperation of foreign ministries, agro-industrial institutions, chambers of commerce and industry and education, official Turkmen sources reported.
The signing ceremony took place in the presence of the presidents of two countries - Gurbangulu Berdimuhamedov and Viktor Yushchenko, who signed a joint statement.
The government press office reported that a new package of bilateral documents was designed to provide a "solid platform for further intensification of cooperation, satisfying the interests of the two fraternal peoples."
