Chairman of the Turkmen Parliament, Akja Nurberdieva received credentials from the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Philippines to Turkmenistan Generosa Santos Seng.
The Altyn Asir national TV channel reported that the diplomat conveyed the greetings from the leadership of his country.
The diplomat was informed about the socio-economic reforms implemented and large-scale projects in Turkmenistan. Particular emphasis was laid on the reforms in the sphere of science and education to promote sustained development of the state, successful Turkmenistan's integration into world economic and information space.
The envoy was also acquainted with the structure and multilateral activities of the Turkmen parliament. The parties recognized the need to enhance bilateral ties and, in particular, cultural dialogue, stressed the importance of inter-parliamentary ties.
The distinguished guest was also received by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
