Azerbaijan, Baku, Jan. 5 / Trend A.Huseynbala /

Unified Azerbaijan Popular Front Party (UAPFP) Chairman and MP Gudrat Hasanguliyev did not exclude the possibility of establishing a bloc in the run up to the parliamentary elections.

"We stand for participation of several parties in the parliamentary elections within the bloc, but it depends not only on us," he told Trend .

Azerbaijan will hold the parliamentary elections in autumn 2010. Previously, the county held parliamentary elections in November 2005.

According to the MP, the issue of establishing a bloc will be mulled with several opposition parties.

Maybe we will take part in the parliamentary elections jointly with parties involved in the presidential election, he added.  A bloc may also be established with the parties that had not participated in these elections, he said.

A group of the Azerbaijan Popular Front Party members broke away from the party in 2002 and established Connecting wing. The wing was founded into the Unified Azerbaijan Popular Front Party in 2004. The party was registered in 2005. It takes constructive position towards the government.
