Azerbaijani Parliament will make amendments to the Labor Code regarding social protection of hired workers.
"Amendments to the Labor Code have been prepared. It is expected to submit the project of very important amendments to the Labor Code for discussion at the spring session as a result of the monitoring conducted by us over a long period of time," deputy chairman of the committee on social policy of the Parliament Musa Guliyev told Trend today.
He said that major amendments to the Labor Code are related to hired worker.
"Drivers working for families, gardeners, guards, nurses and private tutors for children usually work without contracts. Their labor rights are not protected by any legislation. At the same time we can say that they are not protected without involving in social insurance before reaching pension age. The amendments to the Code envisage also settlement of this problem," MP said.
