Georgian President announced March 4 mourning day in connection with four miners' death at the mine named after Mindeli in Tkibuli, Manana Manjgaladze, the president's press speaker the said at a press briefing.

"Mikheil Saakashvili expressed his condolences to relatives and friends of the dead miners and stated that the state takes all the costs of the funeral," she said.

Press the speaker noted that over the past two years the company "Gruzugol" conducted operations to modernize the mine and invested millions to this mine, even so the accident occurred. "Investigation on the incident has begun, which will determine the causes of the explosion and this tragedy. In the case of the revealing the guilty, they will be punished under the law," she said.

Manjgaladze also noted that Prime Minister Nika Gilauri and other officials are on the spot by President's order. They conduct all the necessary measures on the spot.
