President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received outgoing Iraqi ambassador Arshad Omar Ismail, AzerTAj State News Agency reported.
The Head of State praised the ambassador`s contribution to developing relationship between "our countries." The President congratulated the ambassador on the successful parliamentary elections held in Iraq, and expressed hope for more intensive bilateral relations in future.
The Azerbaijani leader wished successes to the Ambassador.
He also expressed assurance that the ambassador would continue efforts to contribute to enhancing cooperation between the Azerbaijani and Iraqi peoples.
Ambassador Arshad Omar Ismaıl thanked President Ilham Aliyev for favorable conditions created for the embassy during his tenure.
He vowed to spare no efforts to contribute to developing relations between "our peoples."
