Nine candidates aspire to the post of Tbilisi mayor. This became known after the expiration of date of providing applications to participate in local elections scheduled for May 30.
The candidates to the post of Tbilisi mayor are: "National Council" - Zviad Dzidziguri, the Democratic Party - David Yakobidze, the ruling National Movement - Gigi Ugulava, "People's democracy" - Nika Ivanishvili, "Future of Georgia" - Giorgi Ishino," Alliance for Georgia" - Irakli Alasania, the Christian Democrats - Gia Chanturia, "Industrialists" - Gogi Topadze and the "Solidarity Party" - Tamaz Vashadze.
About 13 political parties and three blocks will participate in the local elections.
