The 87th anniversary of the birth of Azerbaijan's National Leader
Heydar Aliyev was celebrated in Georgia. Attended by representatives of youth, intellectuals and media, the event was organized by the Cultural Center of Azerbaijanis, functioning in Marneuli.
The guests were presented photographs, posters and documentary films about the life and activity of Heydar Aliyev. The event was opened by Chairman of the Cultural Center of Azerbaijanis Fazil Hasanov.
The Deputy Governor of Kvemo-Kartli (Borchali) Huseyin Yusifov told about the greatness of Heydar Aliyev, about love and respect of the Azerbaijanis living in Georgia towards the national leader.

Ganira Pashayeva also joined them in Tbilisi. Wreaths were laid to the bust of National Leader.
"This day is celebrated with great love not only by the Azerbaijanis living in Georgia, but also Azerbaijanis around the world, said Ganira Pashayeva. We are very happy that the 87th anniversary of the birth of the great leader is marked in Georgia. We know that being in power, Heydar Aliyev focused on improving the social situation of Azerbaijanis around the world, including compatriots living in Georgia. He wanted to see the happiness of our compatriots living here. His care is felt today as well. Azerbaijan today plays an important role in improvement of the conditions compatriots. The proof is the implementation of large-scale international projects in these areas."
During a speech at the event in Tbilisi, the Georgian MP Azer Suleymanov and fellow of Georgian representation of SOCAR Arif Aliyev spoke about the important events in Georgia carried out by National Leader Heydar Aliyev to develop Georgian-Azerbaijani friendship.
