The "Conference of the Georgian Defence" has been opened today. The event was organized by the Georgian Defence Ministry and is being held in Batumi.
The conference participants will consider the real situation in the Georgian-NATO relations, and future prospects, as well as strategic documents of national security and defence, the Georgian Defense Ministry told Trend.
The conference, which will last two days, will be attended by the Georgia Defence Minister Bacho Akhalaia, senior officials of the Ministry of Defense and the Georgian Armed Forces Joint Staff, as well as representatives of various government departments, foreign and Georgian experts, ambassadors of NATO countries and military attaches.
