Most ministers of the OSCE member states, namely 40 states of 56, have confirmed their participation in the forthcoming informal meeting of the OSCE member states' ministers scheduled for July 16-17 in Almaty, the OSCE Office spokesman Virginie Coullondon said today at a press conference.
"The meeting will be attended by representatives of 56 countries, perhaps at the level of ambassadors or vice ministers, but namely 40 ministers have confirmed their participation, although applications will be still received," Coullondon said.
She said namely informal meeting in Almaty will allow determining agenda of the OSCE's upcoming summit in Astana.
Coullondon said at present, in Vienna representatives of all 56 countries - OSCE member states discuss details of the upcoming summit of the OSCE.
"All the sides should come to one decision on the agenda, place and date of the upcoming summit of the OSCE. While there is just one consensus - all agree with the fact that the summit after 11-year pause should be held, and in this regard Kazakhstan's proposal was adopted. However, all the rest details of the summit are under discussions yet," she said.
