Beijing hosted the Georgia-China political consultations at the level of heads of departments. The consultations discussed bilateral political and economic issues, the Georgian Foreign Ministry reported.
"The parties also discussed issues of cooperation between China and Georgia in the framework of the international organizations," the ministry reported.
During the China visit, the ministry's delegation will hold a meeting with Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Cheng Guoping.
Previous political consultations between China and Georgia took place in Tbilisi in December 2009.
