Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has received today Supachai Panitchpakdi, secretary-general of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the AzerTaj state news agency reported.
The secretary-general thanked President Ilham Aliyev for the conditions created for the 19th regional course on key issues on the international economic agenda organized by the UNCTAD and Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy.
Panitchpakdi praised the fact that UNCTAD cooperated with the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy.
Panitchpakdi also congratulated President Ilham Aliyev for the achievements, which allowed Azerbaijan becoming the region`s leader.
President Ilham Aliyev, in turn, underlined the importance of Baku`s hosting the 19th regional course.
The Head of State expressed hope that the event would host interesting discussions and give fruitful results.
