Azerbaijani opposition party determines candidates for 45 constituencies

Azerbaijani opposition Modern Musavat Party (MMP) has identified a list of candidates for 45 constituencies, MMP press service told Trend.
The meeting of the party's board, held on August 24, considered a list of persons to be nominated at 45 constituencies.
Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled for November 7, 2010. Previous parliamentary elections were held in November 2005. Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held by the majority system in 125 constituencies.
This list may be increased prior to the election, the representatives of the party's organization department said at the meeting.
Modern Musavat Party was established in 2000, and passed state registration in 2002. In the 2008 presidential elections, the party's chairman
Hafiz Hajiyev gained 0.65 percent of votes. The party considers itself constructive opposition with respect to the government.
