During the meeting on Friday Azerbaijani MPs condemned the secret meetings of ambassadors of several countries with the leaders of opposition parties.

MP Siyavush Novruzov said that the ambassadors, accredited in Azerbaijan, must not meet with the forces, protecting the interests of other countries.

"Why do not these ambassadors meet with the internally displaced people, parents of Azerbaijani child killed by Armenians?" Novruzov asked.

He said that the representatives of the parties, who met with ambassadors of several European countries, have no social base and boycotted by Azerbaijani people.

Deputy chairman of ruling New Azerbaijan Party, MP Ali Akhmedov, said that the ideology of the radical opposition is directed against Azerbaijan.

The destructive activity of radical groups impedes the development of Azerbaijan, MP Asaf Hajiyev said. He said that the forces, seeking to destabilize the situation in Azerbaijan, are connected with the Armenian lobby. "The Azerbaijani government and people will do their best to prevent such attempts," he said.

"Ambassadors of foreign countries may meet with representatives of both ruling and opposition parties. Why were not these meetings conducted with representatives of opposition parties represented in the Parliament?" MP Fazil Mustafa said.

MP Fazail Ibrahimli said that solving the problems within the country is an internal affair of Azerbaijan. The ambassadors must not interfere in the internal affairs of the country.
