The Kazakh-Chinese talks will be held as part of Chinese President Hu Jin Tao's state visit to Astana in the Ak-Orda region today, the press-service of Ak -Orda told Trend.

The Kazakh-Chinese talks will be held on Monday as part of Chinese President Hu Jin Tao's state visit to Astana, the press-service of Ak-Orda told Trend.

First, the negotiations will begin with concrete topics and move on to more broad concerns. S everal documents are planned to be signed, the press-service said.

The Chinese leader's written statement, released by the Chinese government, indicated that the president is confident about his visit to Kazakhstan and the ability to successfully bring bilateral cooperation to a new level.

"My current visit will be successful in terms of bringing the China -Kazakhstan strategic partnership to a qualitatively new level," a statement said.

Chinese President Hu Jin Tao plans to meet with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Prime Minister Karim Masimov.

The agenda includes the strategic planning of the perspective development of bilateral relations and exchanging opinions regarding urgent issues of mutual interest in regional and international areas.

The Chinese President will also partake in summit marking the SCO Anniversary in Astana.

The Chinese President said that the summit, to be held on the eve of the Organization's 20th Anniversary, is of great importance for the future development of the SCO.

"I am confident that the upcoming summit will significantly contribute to enhancing a mutual understanding of member-states and the joint development plan for the SCO will further [the organization's] sustainable, healthy and stable development. It will be implemented with careful preparation by the hosting country - Kazakhstan - and with the efforts of other countries' participants," the Chinese leader said.
