Relations between Azerbaijan and Iraq are developing successfully with political dialogue expanding. Inter-parliamentary relations play a great role, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said at a meeting with chairman of the committee of the Iraqi Parliament Hammam Hamoudi today.
Mr Mammadyarov said that the visit of the Iraqi parliamentary delegation to Baku will make a significant contribution to the development of bilateral relations, the Foreign Ministry said.
The Iraqi current economic state, the processes in the country, the issues of expansion of the legal framework between the two countries and cooperation in international organisations were discussed at the meeting.
The Iraqi parliamentary delegation to Azerbaijan began on Tuesday. Its purpose is to discuss the development of relations.
