President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received a delegation led by chairman of the U.S. House Subcommittee on Europe and Eurasia Dan Burton.
Burton praised rapid development processes in Azerbaijan.
He noted Azerbaijan was an important country in the region.
The chairman said U.S. attached great importance to expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan.
The Head of State hailed bilateral relationship between the two countries.
President Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of cooperation between the legislative bodies for strengthening bilateral ties even more.
During the meeting, they discussed a wide range of issues, including energy and security cooperation and successful participation of Azerbaijan`s peacekeepers within the International Peacekeeping mission.
They expressed confidence bilateral cooperation between the two countries would continue to enhance.
