On October 29, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev made a telephone call to Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul.
The Head of State congratulated Abdullah Gul on his birthday and on the occasion of the public holiday of Turkey - the Republic Day, wished him robust health and successes in his presidential activity, and the fraternal people of Turkey welfare.
Abdullah Gul expressed his gratitude to the Azerbaijani President for his attention and congratulations.
The presidents noted friendly and brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey were developing successfully.
They expressed confidence Azerbaijan-Turkey relationship would continue to strengthen.
