U.S. New Mexico’s Senate adopts resolution on Azerbaijan

The Senate of the U.S. state of New Mexico adopted a resolution on the importance of the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and the U.S, the Azerbaijani Consulate General in Los Angeles told Trend today.
The resolution stressed Azerbaijan's successful development, its importance as a strong partner for the U.S and the importance of strengthening the relations with allies such as Azerbaijan.
According to known information, the Azerbaijani Consul General in Los Angeles Nasimi Agayev addressed the plenary session of the Senate of New Mexico - the highest legislative body in the state.
Agayev emphasized the great potential for successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and the State of New Mexico in a number of areas. He also informed about Azerbaijan's wish to fully develop relations with New Mexico. The Consul General stressed the importance of mutual visits, stressing the appropriateness of a New Mexico expanded delegation's visit to Azerbaijan this year.
A similar resolution was adopted by the House of Representatives of the state on January 28.
