The government is ready to discuss the demands of protesters, Turkey's Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc said, TRT HABER broadcasted on Tuesday.

According to Arinc, avoidance of any radical action is the most important factor for the government.

He also added that despite the current events, the government will continue its fight against illegal groups.

According to the vice-premier, the events in Taksim Square adversely affect the country's international image as well the Turkish economy.

Arinc said the government did everything to avoid the loss of life during the protests.

Rallies are being held in various Turkish towns to support the protesters in Gezi Park on Taksim Square in Istanbul. The protesters oppose the destruction of the park

According to the Turkish media, at present tensions remain in Gezi Park on Taksim Square.

115 members of the security forces were injured during the events that occurred in connection with the destruction of Gezi Park in Taksim Square in Istanbul. 58 civilians were also injured in the clashes and are receiving medical assistance.

A group of protesters tried to seize the building of the Turkish ruling party in the Turkish province of Izmit on the morning of June 1. Local police dispersed the demonstrators.
