Azerbaijani Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov met with the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia in Azerbaijan Musaid Bin Ibrahim Al Sulaimi.
Firstly, the minister extended his good wishes to the newly appointed ambassador and expressed the hope that during his diplomatic activities, bilateral relations between the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan and the relevant agencies of Saudi Arabia will successfully develop, the MSE official website reported on Thursday.
During the meeting, the minister gave an in depth background to the ambassador about projects being undertaken by MSE and its agencies.
Initial discussions on the preparation of an agreement between the MSE and the relevant agencies of Saudi Arabia in the field of disaster prevention and elimination of their consequences were also held.
The ambassador in turn, expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and expressed his confidence in deepening cooperation between the relevant agencies of the two countries.
At the meeting the sides also discussed the issues of interest for both sides.
