The Ombudsman of Moldova, Aurelia Grigoriu was awarded the honorary medal of the Milli Majlis (parliament) of Azerbaijan.
Speaker of the Milli Majlis, Ogtay Asadov met on Thursday with the Ombudsman of Moldova Aurelia Grigoriu, who arrived in Baku to participate in the 3rd Baku International Humanitarian Forum.
During the meeting, Asadov expressed gratitude to Aurelia Grigoriu on behalf of Azerbaijani people for her support of the country's just position, and for her speech at the Armenian parliament, where she sharply criticised the Armenian occupation policy.
He also noted that the pressure and persecution against the Moldovan Ombudsman in Armenia once again demonstrated the terrorist nature of the Armenians' policy.
Asadov then awarded Aurelia Grigoriu with the honorary medal of Milli Majlis for her activity in the sphere of defence of human rights.
Ombudsman of Moldova, expressed gratitude to the Speaker of Azerbaijani parliament for the warm welcome and appreciation of her activity, and said that sooner or later someone had to say openly that Armenia is an aggressor state.
