Bilal Erdogan, the son of Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, is suing the Istanbul Prosecutor's Office, the Turkish newspaper "Milliyet" reported on Feb. 14.
The reason is slander levied against Bilal Erdogan within the framework of the corruption scandal in the country. Previously, the Istanbul Prosecutor's Office announced that the son of the PM was also involved in the corruption scandal.
Earlier, Bilal Erdogan said that he was ready to testify in a corruption scandal in the country.
During the special operations conducted on Dec. 17, 2013, in Istanbul and Ankara, dozens of people including sons of some ministers and influential businessmen were arrested. Detentions were carried out on the basis of accusations in corruption, smuggling and selling drugs.
