The Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Chinese Ministry of Civil Affairs signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of emergency management, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations said Sept. 24.
The memorandum was signed following a meeting between Azerbaijani Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov and Chinese Minister of Civil Affairs Li Liguo.
A delegation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations headed by Heydarov visited the National Disaster Risk Reduction Center and the Civil Defense Society in Beijing September 23 - 24.
The delegation visited a number of enterprises for the production of equipment used in emergency situations.
