BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 24. Azerbaijan-Russia cooperation in the restoration of Karabakh is an important moment in bilateral cooperation, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said, Trend reports.
Bayramov made the statement during a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Baku on June 24.
“Restoration of the liberated territories [from Armenian occupation in 2020 Second Karabakh War] is the top priority for Azerbaijan. Restoration process is of principal importance,” Bayramov said.
“A lot of projects are being carried out, restoration is proceeding at a high pace, and we will witness the return of the first internally displaced persons (IDPs) to the liberated territories in the near future,” he added.
Minister noted that joint participation in projects to restore the liberated territories is an important part of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia.
