BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 11. Today, on Kyrgyz soil, I once again see that this brotherhood is not in just words, but in deeds, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said during the inauguration of the Kyrgyzstan-Azerbaijan Friendship Park in Bishkek, Trend reports.
"We have discussed a wide range of issues with the President of Kyrgyzstan today. As Sadyr Nurgozhoyevich noted, the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan is already a reality, and we fill this partnership with new content every day. The first day of my visit to Kyrgyzstan is coming to an end. It is coming to an end here, in this new picturesque corner of the capital of Kyrgyzstan. I must also say that Baku and Bishkek have become sister cities. In other words, the brotherhood of our peoples is also transforming into a sister relationship between our cities. I am sure that this good tradition will live on, and many other cities of Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan will become sister cities.
I would like to once again express my deep gratitude for the hospitality extended to me and members of our delegation on the fraternal Kyrgyz land. For my part, I want to assure you that I will do everything in the future to bring our fraternal peoples, who have common roots and a common cultural heritage, even closer together. Together with the President of Kyrgyzstan, I will do everything to ensure that we continue to maintain friendship in international organizations, in the economic sphere, in investment, transport, energy, culture – in all spheres, so that Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan, like two brothers, march forward shoulder to shoulder for the joy of our peoples and for the future of our countries," the head of state said.
