BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 4. The first consular consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Azerbaijan and Hungary have been held in Budapest, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said, Trend reports.
The Azerbaijani delegation at the consultations was headed by the head of the consular department of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Emil Safarov, and the Hungarian delegation was headed by the head of the consular department of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry Balazs Farkas.
During the consular consultations, the current situation and prospects for the development of consular cooperation with Hungary, which is an important partner country for Azerbaijan, were discussed, as well as the possibility of signing new bilateral agreements in the field of digitalization of consular services.
The parties, exchanging experiences on the latest innovations implemented in the consular field, also emphasized the importance of strengthening ties between the two countries in the field of migration, education and other areas.
An agreement was reached between the parties to hold the next meeting of consular consultations in 2025 in the city of Baku.
