GAS DELIVERIES FROM RUSSIA RESUMED

Today at 16:30 p.m. Gazexport Ltd. Company (A daughter structure of the Open Joint Stock Company (OJSC) Gazprom) resumed gas deliveries to Azerbaijan after suspending on 3 August at 11.15 a.m., the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), a buyer of gas told Trend.

According to some data, supply of the Russian gas to Azerbaijan through the gas pipeline Mozdok-Gazimagomed was suspended due to finding an object, resembling the bomb, on the gas pipeline.

The supposed explosive facility was revealed on the 7-th km of the gas pipeline to the south of Mahachkala, followed by suspension of the transit gas delivery to Azerbaijan and the near-by regions.

SOCAR notes, Gazexport will supply some 280 million cu m gas to Azerbaijan in August.

Gazexport delivered 2,95 billion cu m gas in January-July 2005 to Azerbaijan, which is for 185 million cu m more of the similar period of 2004.

In July Gazexport delivered 350,6 million cu m gas to Azerbaijan, which is for 16,5 million cu m less of June 2005 and for 284,4 million cu m more of July 2004.
