MEETING ON DELIMITATION, DEMARCATION OF AZERI-GEORGIAN BORDER HELD IN BAKU

The two-day meeting of the Azerbaijani and Georgian state commissions on delimitation and demarcation of state border started in Baku on Tuesday. The attending will be the Georgian governmental delegation led by Malkhaz Mikeladza, the special envoy of the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Trend. The Azerbaijani delegation is led by Khalaf Khalafov, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The subjects of the discussion are 19 disputable subsections of the state border.

The discussion will end with adoption of protocol on Wednesday.

According to the Azerbaijani State Committee on Land and Cartography, the total length of the Azerbaijani-Georgian border comprises 480 km and divided into 5 sections and 24 subsections. The sides unified around 20% of the border.
